/ KUNDI BOMBO
was founded by Eblis Alvarez and Peter Navarro-Alonso in 2002. Simon Christensen joined the "band" a year later, Eblis left Denmark in 2009 and moved back to his native country, Columbia. Kundi Bombo is now Peter Navarro-Alonso and Simon Christensen.
In 2009 they relased their first album, Closer, a multimedia performance for dancers, video projection and live music. Music written by Simon Christensen.

Guest musicians are often invited to join the band, as in the Tributes-pulse project with guest violinist,
Christina Åstrand.

/ PETER NAVARRO-ALONSO
graduated as saxophonist from Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid and from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. He also graduated as composer from The Royal Danish Academy of Music. As a soloist as well as with his prizewinning ensemble ALPHA, he has toured throughout most countries of Europe and in the US.
He has given numerous world premieres of compositions, works by Jexper Holmen (DK), Rachel Yatzkan (ISR), Jeppe Christensen (DK), Eblis Alvarez (COL) and Eva Barath (GER).
His music has been performed by The Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen, The Danish Youth Choir, The HYMNIA Choir and The NORDLYS Ensemble among others.
He received The Leonie Sonning Music Grant in 2004 and was nominated for The Nordic Council’s Music Prize 2009 along with his ensemble ALPHA.

/ SIMON CHRISTENSEN
Being a former rock/jazz drummer and a classical pianist, he now performs with a small drum set-up, a large set-up of analogue modules, a Wiimote and an old cheap Zither from former East Germany. He studied composition at The Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and at the Conservatoire Nationale Superieur de Paris. His music has been performed by Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Danish National Chamber Orchestra, Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen and Stockholm Saxophone Quartet among others.
He received the 3-year grant from The National Endowment For The Arts in 2003 and The Danish Composers’ society Grant in 2007 for the orchestral work, The Elastic Track.

/ CHRISTINA ÅSTRAND
is one of the most remarkable violinists in Scandinavia. She is extremely versatile in terms of repertoire, ranging from the classical concertos to the most contemporary works for violin and orchestra. Several Danish composers have composed and dedicated works to her. She is one of the few violinists in the world who also plays György Ligeti´s violin concerto. Her recording of Ligeti’s and Per Nørgård´s violin concertos with the DR Symphony Orchestra and Thomas Dausgaard won the Diapason D´or 2001.
Christina Åstrand was just 22 years old when she was appointed Principal Concert Master with the DR Symphony Orchestra. This is the position she still holds.

/ EBLIS ALVAREZ
Being a former classical guitarist, he now performs his music on electric guitar and electronics. He is also the singer of several Columbian bands. He studied composition at The Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and classical guitar at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. He has composed music for many chamber ensembles in Northern Europe and has furthermore composed music for three ballets to Danseteatret Galshuset in Stockholm, Sweden. Eblis Alvarez won The National Composers Competition of Columbia in 2004.
